Jeffrey S. Blanck believes in the philosophy, “working to live, not living to work.” Jeff has worked on cattle ranches, was a commercial whitewater rafting guide, rock climber, and former gymnast. By living in the Reno area Jeff is able to take advantage of his love of the outdoors.
Jeff’s educational background consists of being an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno and the Sierra Nevada College at Lake Tahoe. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Ecology from U.C. Davis and a Bachelor’s degree in Russian from The George Washington University. He graduated from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, California. Jeff has worked with Russian lawyers on environmental issues, on cattle ranches, for feedlots, and for the U.S. Forest Service.
Jeff is the Second Vice President of the Reno Sparks Chapter of the NAACP, which helps his practice as it keeps him up to date on what is going on with current Civil Rights and Discrimination problems. He is also a member of the State Bar of Nevada, the State Bar of California, and the Washoe County Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in all Federal Courts in Nevada and California.
Married with two children, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and doing outdoor activities in the Reno area. He enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and whitewater rafting, proving his love for a good challenge over the past 40 years.
Jeff also enjoys sitting down and reading a good book and taking time to enjoy the quieter things in life such as a peaceful night at home with his family; this helps him to have the patience for handling those cases that require longer periods of time because of delays inherent in the legal process.
Jeff enjoys conversing in different languages such as Russian, Hebrew, and some Korean.
Jeff’s efficient staff also includes a trained paralegal; they are here to support your interests as well.
